Ahead of Christmas, the villagers in Banti and Kimbeli get the Staple Food

Ahead of the celebration of Christmas and New Year 2018, the leader of the district of Tembagapura, Mimika Regency, Papua, assisted by the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (POLRI) distributing food items in the district of Tembagapura. The leader of the district of Tembagapura, Martinus Nuboba conveyed the distribution of basic foods is focused on four villages, namely Banti 1 village, Banti 2 village, Kimbeli village, and Obitawak village.

The Staple food is a donation from the Amungme and Kamoro Community Empowerment Institute (LPMAK) and cooperates with the Mimika Regency, which is then submitted to the leader of every district with symbolically to be distributed to the citizens. The staple foods, one of which is 500 bags of rice, has been distributed and received directly by the district leader, followed by a distribution of 175 sugar, 55 coffee cartons, and 500 cooking oil.

The Pastor, Hengki magal, as treasurer in Banti 2 village, thanked the Amungme and Kamoro Community Empowerment Institute (LPMAK) and local government of Mimika Regency, and the Indonesian National Army (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (POLRI) for all their help. The staple food is distributed and received safely, there is no commotion, and this staple food will be used for later Christmas celebrations by the citizens.

The existence of the staple food for the surrounding people is very helpful to them in celebrating the Christmas Eve. The participation of Indonesian National Armed Force (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (POLRI) is also considered to make the food division condition is controlled and safe.
