Papua Declares Rowing a Priority Sport, Papua Team Hope to Begin Training Camp

Rowing is a sport that has gained more popularity in Papua. Rowing has also showcased the region’s stunning natural beauty for the past couple of years. This is because rowing happ now to be in rivers and lakes. To develop it even more, the government plans to make rowing a priority sport, Papua team hope to begin training camp.

The Papua rowing team consists of young athletes passionate about the sport. These athletes come from diverse backgrounds and communities throughout the region. Despite coming from different regions, they aim to represent Papua in rowing competitions.

Papuan rowing coach Vines Kambay said the athletes are still practicing independently. They are still waiting for instructions from the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI). KONI promised to create a centralized training program for the Papua Province rowing team.

While waiting for the execution, the Papua rowing team hopes to begin a training camp soon. Hopefully, it will provide its athletes with the resources and facilities they need to compete at the highest level. 

The Papua rowing training camp will provide the team access to specialized equipment, training facilities, and coaching.
