How To Apply For Work in BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) for Papuans and West Papuans

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (Badan Usaha Milik Negara or BUMN) has opened job vacancies through the 2022 BUMN Joint Recruitment. It is a recruitment program for the best of Indonesians, ranging from Diploma (D3), Undergraduate (S1), and Post-graduate (S2) Certificate Holders. 

How to apply if you are someone from Papua or West Papua? The vacancies have already been open since April 14, 2022. Anyone who wishes to join the BUMN family can grow their careers here. They will become “agents of development” to develop creativity and innovation with BUMN.

Applicants By Category

To enroll for work in BUMN, there are three (3) categories of applicants: For Regulars, For Applicants With Disabilities, and For Papuan and West Papuan Residents (Eastern Indonesia Region). Each category has its own stages of recruitment and passing grades based on the companies who recruit them.

The Differences Between Applicants By Category

So, what are the differences between requirements For Regulars, For Applicants With Disabilities, and For Papuan and West Papuan Residents?

For Regulars (General Requirements for All Applicants)

For all applicants (including from Papua and West Papua), here are the general requirements:

  • Each applicant is only allowed to apply for a maximum of three (3) positions in different BUMN-based companies.
  • All requirement stages are free of charge. Please report any party who demands money from applicants to the Indonesian Human Capital Forum (Forum Human Capital Indonesia or FHCI).
  • Besides rekrutmenbersama.fhcibumn.id, BUMN does not accept job applications from other media platforms or sources.
  • All online activities and announcements for each selection stage are announced through the same link as above: rekrutmenbersama.fhcibumn.id
  • All accommodation and transportation costs during the recruitment and selection process are the applicants’ responsibilities.
  • All applicants are required to submit by registering online through the same link as above: rekrutmenbersama.fhcibumn.id
  • FHCI has the right to fully determine the list of candidates to be considered to meet the qualifications at each selection stage.
  • FHCI’s decisions are final and cannot be contested in any way.

How to Apply

For all applicants (including from Papua and West Papua), here is how to apply:

  • You must be an Indonesian citizen.
  • You must be 25 years old per April 2022 and Diploma (D3), Undergraduate (S1), and/or Post-graduate (S2) Certificate Holders.
  • If you are a Diploma Holder, you must be 27 years old, of maximum age.
  • If you are an Undergraduate Certificate Holder, you must be 30 years old maximum age.
  • If you are a Post-Graduate Certificate Holder, you must be 35 years old maximum age.
  • The minimum of your GPA score is 2.75.
  • You are willing to be posted anywhere in Indonesia.
  • You must be physically, mentally, and spiritually healthy and in no condition related to any substance abuse.
  • Your certification in training is in accordance with your competence and work experience recommendations if there are any.
  • You can include any community recommendations (for example, your past achievements in sports or digital content creating) if you have any.
  • You must consist of an official record from the local police.

For Papuan and West Papuan Residents

The BUMN Joint Recruitment in 2022 for Papua and West Papua requires applicants who are either Diploma (D3), Undergraduate (S1), and/or Post-graduate (S2) Certificate Holders.

They will have careers and develop themselves professionally in all business sectors in BUMN. The process will be done through a separate channel from the regular one. The requirements include:

  • An indigenous Papuan or West Papuan (with at least one or both parents originally from the regions).
  • Single or still unmarried.
  • Maximum 22 years old (for high school graduates), 25 years old (for Diploma Holders), 28 years old (for Undergraduate Certificate Holders), and 33 years old (for Post-graduate Certificate Holders).

The Application Stages

For this year, these are the application stages:

  • Stage 1 – Online administration and registration: April 14 – 25, 2022.
  • The announcement for stage 1 results: May 9 – 11, 2022.
  • Stage 2 – Introducing the procedure of transferring applicants to different regions and BUMN’s core values.
  • Implementing the Basic Skills Test and BUMN’s Core Values: May 17 – 27, 2022.
  • The announcement for stage 2 results: June 8 – 10, 2022.
  • Implementing the Field Ability Tests, Interviews, and Medical Check-up (MCU), conducted following the provisions of each BUMN: June 12 – 25, 2022.
  • The final announcement of Prospective BUMN Employees: July 4, 2022.
  • Introduction to National Defense: July 11, 2022.
  • The inauguration: July 18, 2022.

Including applicants from Papua and West Papua, everyone needs to own their own active email addresses and mobile phone numbers. They must also be available to participate in the whole application process.
