Melvin Tuerah informed all candidates that the first stage of the selection process went successfully. The CAT system is the standard system in this test. It is the same system as in other regions/cities in Indonesia.

He explained all candidates who are applying for a position in the KPUD must complete the written test since it is mandatory. It is according to the rule by the Central KPU.

The writing test took one day to complete. The Selection Team had to put the candidates into three groups based on their origin city/district.

Candidates from Sorong forms the first group. Then, the Selection Team pulls out candidates from the Raja Ampat and South Sorong to create the second group. Then lastly, it is the candidates from Maybrat and Tambrauw to form the third group.

Melvin Tuerah explained they had to split the candidates into three groups due to the limited facility. The Southwest Papua KPUD only had four rooms to conduct this written test. In each room, they could only place 35 candidate maximum.

The room’s capacity certainly would not fit the entire 274 candidates at once. Moreover, they certainly require special seating arrangements to comply with the test regulation from Central KPU.
