The Basic Good Prices are Stable

Bulog urges its business partners to apply consistent selling prices. Bulog also carries out distribution equalization activities through the Supply and Food Price Stabilization Program (SPHP). It’s to facilitate the public in obtaining basic necessities while preventing inflation from basic goods.

Assistant Operational Manager of Bulog Manokwari, Amirudin, explained that market operations were routinely carried out twice a week by targeting densely populated locations.

Market operations are part of an effort to facilitate the public in obtaining basic necessities while preventing inflation from basic goods.

“Today we bring 300 sacks of 5-kilogram medium rice for IDR 50,000 and 300 liters of MinyaKita for IDR 14,000,” he said.

Market operations are part of the efforts to prevent inflation, and they are routinely carried out twice a week by targeting densely populated locations.

Kornelia Aninam, a resident of Inggramui Village in Manokwari Regency, West Papua, appreciates the market operations carried out by Bulog. Because the supply of packaged cooking oil in traditional markets has been limited in recent weeks.

The selling prices of rice and packaged cooking oil from Bulog are affordable and helpful for the local community’s economic condition.

She hopes that the local government can maintain the distribution chain of several basic necessities to prevent shortages that result in skyrocketing prices.
