President Inaugurated Papua Youth Creative Hub
President Joko Widodo freshly inaugurates the hub. As mentioned, the hub has complete facilities. The President expressed his appreciation during the inauguration. He mentioned several facilities in the hub.
The President is surprised to learn the young generation of Papuan creates applications. It is on display in the hub. It also has studios and rooms for mobile phone and laptop assembly. The hub has complete facilities for those who are interested to learn technology.
Besides technology, the hub has podcast studios where the young Papuans could create their podcast channel, work on the concept, and start recording.
Not only podcasts, but there is also a music studio for music recording. Papua certainly has some fresh talents that could become the next big thing in the music industry. This hub helps these young talents to work on it and create their hit records.
For those who love photography, the hub also has a photography studio. These young photographers can gain technical photography and photo editing skills through these studios.
The State Intelligence Agency manages this hub. This is an effort from the government to accommodate the creativity of the people of Papua. It also serves as a facility to empower the people.
There are training programs that help the people of Papua to learn various skills from the basic. It becomes the first step of entrepreneurship in Papua.
The President said that not everyone wishes to work as a civil servant. This hub serves as creative learning for those interested in music, technology, photography, or fashion. Not only on the technical skills but also on the selling skills.
Entrepreneurship Programs in PYCH
The government started to prepare this hub in 2019, but the building of the Papua Youth Creative Hub was recently completed in December 2022. From now on, BIN is in charge of managing and running the hub.
BIN claims to have successfully attracted Papuan people to use the hub. Up until today, there 12,843 people has become a member of this hub. It houses numerous programs for young talents. All these programs are the idea of the Papuan people.
The programs cover various sectors and not only the creative industry. The hub also has programs in animal husbandry, agriculture, education, fisheries, and health. It also helps the small-scale industry to improve their business through training. It even has a special culture program where they teach nearly extinct languages in Papua.
The Head of BIN said that the main mission of PYCH is to put the young Papuans as the driving force in the life of the Papuan people. It gives space the opportunity for these young Papuans to take part in its partnerships. Hopefully, these young Papuans could build their worldwide reputation in the future.
