Get to know the ADiK Scholarship

ADik scholarship recipients

It’s no secret that many high school graduates have good academic potential but don’t have access to university. The Higher Education Affirmation Scholarship program, or ADik, is an effort by the government to increase access to tertiary institutions.

Specifically, the Indonesian government has provided scholarships since 2012 aimed at students from Papua and West Papua. But besides that, the government also provides this scholarship for students who live in particular areas or remote and disadvantaged areas.

The government expects places with insufficient infrastructure would have equitable access to educational opportunities through implementing this scheme. In addition, the presence of human resources with a high level of knowledge allows areas left behind to experience growth and development.

In the ADik Scholarship scheme, students who register at the undergraduate and D-IV levels can take lectures for a maximum of eight semesters. Meanwhile, those who choose the D3 program will get a maximum of six semesters.

For professional programs, such as those for general practitioners, dentists, and veterinarians, scholarship recipients receive an additional four semesters. Regarding the nursing, pharmacist, and educator professional programs, scholarship recipients have two additional semesters.
