DAS Klisi Appreciates Optical Cable Installation Plan in Kemtuk Gresi Papua

The Indonesian government is committed to performing equitable development in Papua. Among the many plans and programs to accomplish is the optical cable installation.

Such a program is essential in order to provide the surrounding region with the current technology. Thus, technology information development can reach Papua and its regions.

Dorteis Udam, as the local Klisi Tribal Customary Council (DAS), shows a positive response because he highly appreciates the installation of Papua optical cable. He accepts the program open-mindedly so the government can construct fiber optic poles and cables within the Kemtuk Gresi area.

Learn the updates on this program as follows.

PT Telkom Indonesia, the Jayapura District Kominfo (Communication and Information Service), and the Klisi DAS held a meeting so they could discuss the program. The meeting went well because the people within the Kemtuk Gresi region opened their arms to socialization.

Moreover, Dorteis confirms that the people welcome the plan because they don’t demand any compensation. Instead, they are willing to offer any required or customary land as their support.  The government won’t hold the construction because this Papuan optical cable network will be implemented in 2023.

The implementation is a vast development because the construction will pass through seven villages in the Kemtuk Gresi region. The installation is hoped to bring many good impacts to the local area, especially regarding its communication and advanced technology.

The installation process will be beneficial for the locals because it will open job opportunities for them. Thus, they can earn more income in order to increase their welfare. In fact, the fiber optic poles and cable installation will involve several locals from each village.

People should learn both the advantages and disadvantages of fiber optic cable networks so they can maximize their features. Aside from that, they can also make any anticipation of its bad impacts as well.

The Advantages of Fiber Optic Cable Network

Fiber optic Indonesia offers fast and stable data transmission in order to help people do their work more effectively. However, there are also many more advantages of such a network, such as follows:

  • It is very effective because it helps you to transmit data from a very long distance with no worry
  • The network can help you send large data easily and faster in order to make you do your job more effectively. Its speed could reach up to several gigabytes per second.
  • It is highly recommended due to its speed and stability in accessing the data safely. Thus, it can lower the data risk loss.
  • It offers no electromagnetic signal reference because the network does not apply any electric current.
  • The network is safe because you won’t get any electrical circuit short or experience a slow connection due to the electric power failure.

Disadvantages of Fiber Optic Cable Network

Optical fiber cable in Indonesia does provide many advantages, yet, it also has its own disadvantages, such as follows:

  • The installation will be very costly due to its high price if compared to common cables.
  • It is also costly because it requires special tools and machines to join the optical cables.
  • The installation is tricky because it requires certain skills, patience, and meticulous expertise.

Conclusion

Indonesia’s government is serious in its commitment to serve equitable development in Papua, among others, by installing an Indonesia fiber optic network in the region. The installation is about to be held in the Kemtuk Gresi area, where the locals have shown their interest and support. Dorteis Udam as the local Klisi.

Tribal Customary Council (DAS) shows a positive response due to its benefits for the locals. He supports the optical cable installation by willingly providing the necessary land required to execute the program.
