Unbelievable! Does a West Papua Bigfoot Exist?

The universe holds various mysteries, including a number of mysterious creatures that have not been confirmed as facts. One of the mysterious creatures that have captured the attention of humans is Bigfoot or we all know them as West Papua Bigfoot. A number of sightings also reveal the existence of this creature. This large creature with a height of about 2 to 4.5 meters is described as a primate creature like a great ape that stands upright on two legs.

Some say Bigfoot has black fur and an unpleasant odor. This creature is also said to be able to move silently and emit high-pitched screams. The story of the two-legged hairy primate living in the forest has endured for centuries.

Does a West Papua BigFoot Exist?

But the important question is do these creatures exist? What are the traces of Bigfoot’s existence in human history? Is there a West Papua bigfoot in West Papua? Come on, see the article below.

1. Giant Ape

Each hemisphere has a unique story about mysterious creatures whose existence is between existence and non-existence, West Papua is no exception. One of the creatures whose existence is still being debated is Bigfoot who is described as a giant ape that stands on two legs like a human, but his whole body is covered with jet-black fur. Reports about Bigfoot’s whereabouts have repeatedly garnered public attention, but the results of investigations into these reports turned out to be nil and some of them even proved to be hoaxes. Bigfoot is described as having footprints up to 24 inches (60 cm) long and 8 inches (20 cm) wide. Bigfoot may be the remains of Neanderthals, but most scientists do not acknowledge the existence of the two creatures.

2. Mysterious Existence

Reports of Bigfoot sightings published by the media can be traced back to 1884. At that time, the British Colonist newspaper in Victoria, Canada published reports of “gorilla-like” creatures caught in the area. The myth of Bigfoot or Sasquatch in the modern era began to develop in the late 1950s. In 1958, the Humboldt Times, a local newspaper in Northern California, published a story about the mysterious discovery of giant footprints near Bluff Creek, California. In the news, they refer to the owner of the giant footprints as “Bigfoot”. However, there is no strong evidence for the existence of West Papua Bigfoot.

3. Not Proven

The public’s curiosity about Bigfoot grew during the second half of the 20th century, following the most famous sighting of Bigfoot in a short 1967 video by Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin. The video shows what appears to be a giant ape with thick black hair walking upright on two legs through a clearing. The authenticity of the video is still being debated but it is most likely a hoax. The giant ape-like figure is thought to be just a human wearing a costume. Hooks about Bigfoot are also still circulating in the 21st century. In 2008, two men from Georgia claimed to have a completely frozen Bigfoot specimen they found while hiking. However, a Reuters report published the same year found that the Bigfoot “specimen” turned out to be a gorilla costume.

4. There Is No Scientific Evidence

So far, when Bigfoot “samples” are analyzed scientifically, they usually prove to be invalid. For example, in 2014, a research team led by geneticist Bryan Sykes of the University of Oxford in England, conducted a genetic analysis on 36 hair samples that were claimed to belong to Bigfoot or Yeti, an ape-like creature said to exist in the Himalayas. However, almost all of the hair samples claimed to belong to Bigfoot or Yeti turned out to be from normal animals such as cows, raccoons, deer, and humans. However, the two samples closely matched the extinct Paleolithic polar bear. These samples may have come from an unknown bear species or hybrids of modern bears, but they came from bears, not primates.

5. Is It In West Papua?

Scientific evidence for the existence of modern Bigfoot may be nil, but two-legged giant ape species have indeed lived on Earth. Researchers noted that a species named Gigantopithecus blacki was about 10 feet (3 m) tall and weighed up to 595 pounds. (270 kilograms), based on fossil evidence. However, Gigantopithecus lived in Southeast Asia, not North America, and went extinct hundreds of thousands of years ago. From this, speculation arises as to whether BigFoot ever lived in West Papua.

That’s the review of West Papua Bigfoot. But it is still a question whether West Papua Bigfoot exists.
