Getting to Know PYCH
PYCH, or Papua Youth Center Hub, is an area of 1,500 m2 in Kelurahan Wahno, Abepura District, Papua. The building consists of one main building and some adjacent supportive structures, including:
- The two-story main building is 3,500 m2 with music and photography studios and training rooms.
- There are also multipurpose, and MSME product rooms so young Papuan can exhibit their abilities and products here.
- A tribune with 300 people, where they can hold traditional ceremonies or other events with more people to come.
- The Gedung Papua Youth Creative Hub also has sports venues so Papuan youth can exercise and explore their sports skills here.
- The 100 Mbps internet connection is an impressive facility because they can perform their promotion, marketing, training, and more online.

PYCH And the Papuan Youth
PYCH is run by the supportive organization of Papua Youth Creative Hub BIN named PMI (Papua Muda Inspiratif). They execute the PYCH programs so as to help increase the welfare of the local society. Aside from that, PMI also empowered local young Papuan to run different kinds of small businesses within the premises.

1. PYCH Café
This café offers traditional cuisine and drinks such as Papuan coffee from Tiom and various food from sago.
2. Freshwater Fish Farming
Youth Creative Hub in Papua offers various different sources of income opportunities, among others, the freshwater fish farming at Danau Sentani, Heran District, Papua. The KJA (Keramba Jaring APung) technique is promising because it helps them harvest approximately 500 kg of fish per month.
KJA is literally a farming fish technique in floating net cages. In fact, they have set their new target to harvest about 1 ton of fish every month.
3. PYCH Catering
Youngsters at PYCH try to provide their own catering because it is healthier dan budget-friendly. Many Papuan youths are trained to run this business unit to do the job properly. However, they can also bring the skills to their homeland to start a new business or courses for their communities.
4. Modernization of Sago Processing
Papuan youth at PYCH is innovative because they provide modern sago processing machines for farmers at Kampung Asei Kecil, Sentani Timur District, Papua. Such an effort is so noble because it realizes their dream to help increase the local society’s welfare.
5. Podcast Studio
PYCH is not only a Youth innovation forum but also a means to upgrade their skills as a cameraman, influencer, audio man, and more through PYCH Podcast. Young Papuan whose talents are in podcast fields can explore their abilities here.
