Samsudin Anggiluli was born in Sorong, 2 March 1969. He is the second person who sits in the seat of the regent in South Sorong after it was established in 2003. Before him, it was Otto Ihalauw who led this regency. Under the reign of Otto Ihalauw, Anggiluli served as a deputy regent.
After completing his duties as deputy regent, Anggiluli then ran as a candidate for regent in the 2015 election. He ran the election with Martinus Salamuk as a candidate for deputy regent. Then, they won the election and ruled as regent and deputy regent in South Sorong for five years.
In the 2020 election, Anggiluli was re-run as a candidate for the next regent again. However, this time, it was Alfons Sesa who accompanied him as the candidate for deputy regent. Then, Anggiluli and Sesa got elected to lead South Sorong from 2021 up until now.
