One of the regencies with its biggest port is the Kaimana Port in West Papua. Minister of Transportation Budi instructs relevant officials on how to keep improving the facilities and services currently in place.
“I ask to optimize the existing facilities because ship visits can still be served with the existing capacity,” he said.
To develop the port, the Minister of Transportation Budi also asked UPP Kaimana to work aggressively with the Regency Government and neighborhood business owners. This aims to enhance the performance of Kaimana Port in West Papua and the level of service.
“In addition, I ask the Head of UPP to cooperate, collaborate with the Kaimana Regency Government and local entrepreneurs to promote this port so that it can improve port performance and PNBP revenue,” he said.
An existing pier at Kaimana Port, measuring 123 x 8 meters, can accommodate vessels with a convenient carrying capacity of up to 14,000 DWT and a depth of -8 MLWS. Kaimana Port is currently serving 3 Pioneer Transportation Routes and 1 Sea Toll Transport Route. Most container and cargo ships at Kaimana Port were headed for Tual and Pomako and are from Fak Fak.

Much to Raja Ampat, Triton Bay is a collection of imposing coral islands with a stunning beach vista and clean water.
Venue Island is another story to tell. The leatherback turtle lives on this island because of its lovely white sand. Due to poaching, the leatherback turtle is in danger of becoming extinct. Ermun beach is another extinct paradise in Kaimana. In Triton Bay, you may find this beach. This beach is breathtakingly beautiful.
